1. What We Collect
When you create a PostGenius account we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We never store your plain-text password.
When you use the generator, carousel builder, or planner we process the topic or text you enter in order to call the Anthropic Claude API and return your results. We may retain generated content linked to your account so you can access your history.
We collect basic usage data (pages visited, features used, generation counts) to operate and improve the service. This data is not sold to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To operate your account and deliver the service you signed up for.
- To send transactional emails — email verification, password resets, and important account notices.
- To enforce plan limits (e.g. Free tier generation counts) and apply upgrades.
- To detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent activity.
- To improve PostGenius — we may analyse aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
We do not use your content to train AI models. Your posts stay yours.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
PostGenius stores a single session identifier in your browser's localStorage to keep you logged in between visits. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
4. Third-Party Services
PostGenius uses the following third-party services:
- Anthropic Claude API — your prompts are sent to Anthropic's servers to generate content. Anthropic's own privacy policy governs that data.
- Resend (resend.com) — transactional emails are sent through Resend. Only your name and email address are shared for this purpose.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the Account page. On deletion, your personal data and generated content are removed from our active database within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.
6. Security
We use industry-standard practices — encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
PostGenius is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by email or a notice on the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
